Imported Swiss Sap Sago Cheese

Had this often while growing up. Love to mix it with butter and spread on saltines. Great on popcorn too.

My father of Swiss heritage often kept a supply of this cheese. We children would make fun of its smell; although, as an adult, I love how grated Sap Sago tastes on salads. I am glad to find it here!

This is a very strong smelling tangy cheese. It is a grating type of cheese. Some people add it to dishes for flavor, I recall grating it onto a slice of white bread and eating it that way. One had to hold their breath as it was easily blown away.
