DRESNER Christstollen

This is the most expensive stollen I have ordered. Of the three different I have purchased, this is my least favorite. When first opened and cut into this cake I wondered if this was a frozen leftover from last season - totally dry, heavy and fall apart cread morerumbly. Not what I would expect from Dr Quendt's Dresdener stollen as recommended on Youtube from several videos. If the good Dr was shooting for a moist flavorful stollen, well, he is going to have to back to the drawing board, as the other stollens, at half the cost, are much better, in my humble opinon. If this is an example if what the Dresden stollen is, shame on the Dr. If this is a stale left over, shame on the distributor. But then again, all reviews are subjective, you may just love this over priced brick. It is edible - I just may not know what a stollen should be - only basing my review on a total of three samples. You be the judge if you have a spare %20. I only know from Twinkies that never get stale, wonder bread that never molds, and chocolate that never melts in your mouth...
