Beef Tongue Fresh or Smoked

My mother cooked this for my 5 brothes and I, for years, and with potato salad it taste so good. She would boil it until it was good and tender. Then skin it while hot, then slice it. great as a Sunday dish or fabulous sandwich with mayo. My wife makes tread morehis for me every father's day. Pure beef no fat.

Haven't had it from here, but have been eating Tongue since I was a kid and had smoked once. My Mom makes a "gravy" or "sauce" with ketchup, flour, sugar & vinegar, salt & pepper. Love it! People get grossed outread more, but you boil it & skin it when cooking raw. Not sure how smoked is done.
